Global auto sales to rise despite risk

 Sale ill exceed the prior peak in 2007. Our forecast is for sales of  75-85 million.units worldwide, Ford Motor Co. Chief Economist Ellen Hughes-Cromwick.  Growth in car sales in China wil drive the growth. In addition, new vehicle sales will continue to rise as the tax package approved last month by Congress will provide the U.S economy with stimulus. The overall U.S. economic outlook is stronger than recent forecasts have suggested, she added.
